Beading, Seed- 2 Hole - Vickie Hodges
This class begins with learning to make beautiful pieces of jewelry with the new 2- hole seed beads. We will be using different stitches such as: right angle, herringbone, spiral and many more. This class needs no experience, but experienced beaders are welcome. Lab fee covers instructional materials, bead mat, needle and triangle. This is a fun and relaxed class. There is no rush, you bead at your own speed. We will learn how to attach clasps and what kind of clasps are best. You will also be taught to read a pattern if you don't already know.

Beading, Seed- 3D - Vickie Hodges
In this class, you will create some wonderful pieces while exploring numerous off-loom techniques. First, we will create some beaded beads to make into earrings or as a pendant. We will next learn to make beaded creatures (such as a fish, octopus, etc.) We will also create beaded boxes. Lab fee covers instructional materials, beading mat, triangle and needle. Kits in several color palettes, as well as other materials, will be sold as desired.

Beading, Seed II-Bead Embroidery with Cabochons - Jerri Heer
This class will use beaded peyote bezels to attach focal cabs to a cuff, collar or larger pendant and will concentrate on techniques for symmetrical or asymmetrical beadwork to complete project. We will study color palettes, creating texture and 3 dimensional qualities, exploration of hard cuff and soft cuff options, finishing methods and more. A variety of seed beads(8, 11, 15), crystals, natural stone beads, pearls and other beads will be available to embellish cuff. Lab fee includes instructional materials, focal cabochons, hard or soft cuff base, bead mat, needles, thread conditioner, bead foundation, suede backing, spool of Fireline, seed beads, some embellishment beads and findings to complete first project. Additional Stone and China cabochons, seed beads, stone, pearl and other embellishment beads, findings and materials will be available for purchase. Student can expect to complete at least one cuff or pendant or most of a collar. Be aware that small bead/handwork is required, an opti-visor or other vision enhancement may be helpful. You are welcome to bring your own stash of beads and findings you should bring your own scissors.

Beading, Seed-Cabochons - Jerri Heer
This class will teach creating beaded peyote bezels for cabochons, as well as a variety of attachment points, edge stitches and embellishments. Learn to professionally finish your pieces, and create a variety of beaded ropes and strung bead necklaces for your pendants. We will explore use of color palettes, many varieties of beads, crystals and embellishments to create your own unique piece. Lab fee includes instructional materials, kit including focal cabochon, seed beads, embellishment beads and findings to complete first pendant, bead mat, needles, thread conditioner, bead foundation, suede backing, spool of Fireline. Additional Stone and China cabochons, seed beads, embellishment beads, findings and materials will be available for purchase. Student can expect to complete at least two pendants. You are welcome to bring your own stash of beads to use for your projects. You should bring your own scissors, round nose and chain nosed pliers, crimp pliers etc, if you have them. Tools will be available to use. No prerequisites for this class, but be aware that small bead/handwork is required, an optivisor or other vision enhancement may be helpful.

Seed Bead Embroidery - Jerri Heer
In this class, you will create some wonderful jewelry while exploring numerous off-loom techniques. First, we will create a necklace using the Dutch Spiral stitch. This necklace incorporates several sizes of seed beads and is embellished with crystals. Then, we will create a necklace with fan-shaped focals using brick stitch and incorporating crystals or gemstone teardrops. We will explore herringbone stitch, both flat and tubular, creating several projects using many variations to the stitch, including increasing and decreasing. In addition, we will create a bracelet using right-angle weave stitched with metallic seed beads and crystals and make a necklace or bracelet using the many variations of spiral rope chain. Finally, we will learn to make bead woven clasps to complement our bracelets and necklaces. Lab fee covers instructional materials, beading mat, needles, assorted beads and thread. Kits in several color palettes, as well as other materials, will be sold as needed.

We will be using cabochons, rivolis, pearls, crystals and various sizes of seed beads. You will pick out all cabs, rivolis and beads needed to create this necklace. Lab fee covers needles, beading mat, triangle scoop, beeswax, all threads and glue used in class.

Seed Beading - Bead Embroidery - Connie Nabholtz
This class will explore basic bead embroidery stitches, as well as attaching cabochons and focal pieces, using peyote stitch to make a bezel for a cabochon, and numerous embellishment techniques. Projects will include a cuff or bracelet, a necklace or pendant, and a pair of earrings. We will explore jewelry design and placement of focal pieces to make each piece unique, and add beads, crystals and other materials to our designs. We will also cover the techniques used to fill the space around focal pieces, and learn to finish each piece using ultra suede and edging techniques. Kits will be used for all projects. Lab fee covers instructional materials, beading mat, needles, assorted beads and Fireline thread. Kits in several color palettes, beads, bracelet blanks, focal, backing materials, ultra-suede and other materials will be available for sale as needed. Seed beads in sizes 8, 11 and 15 will be available in numerous shapes and finishes. Some unique focal pieces will be available as well. There are no prerequisites for the class however, you should be comfortable with small handwork.
