Directions
- From the North East
- 1-81 to 1-77 to 140 thru Asheville to Exit 27 (an 23/74/441); follow signs to Franklin, continue on 64 to traffic light at intersection with 69 (Hayesville). Turn left (south) 69 becomes GA 17 which dead ends at GA 76, Turn right to Young Harris.
- From the North West
- 1-75 to Cleveland, TN, take exit 25 onto Hwy 60 to 64/74 east, turn south on 19/129 (west of Murphy) to Blairsville. Turn left on 76 to Young Harris.
- From the South
- 1-75 thru Atlanta, exit #268 on 1-575 (Marietta), this becomes Appalachian Hwy 515 to Ellijay, and continues as 76/515, continue past Blue Ridge to Young Harris
- From Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport
- Take I-85 to I-75 N thru Atlanta. Take exit #268, which is 575. This road becomes the Appalachian Hwy 515 to Ellijay and continues as 515/76 into Young Harris.
- From South Carolina (Greenville)
- Take 123 to 76 to Clayton, GA. Continue west on 76 to Young Harris. Some mountain roads, but still the best way.
- Helen, GA
- a small Alpine village located approximated 30 minutes from the school with outlet shops and restaurants.
- Franklin, NC
- Ruby and sapphire mines for you to dig your own, museums and rock shops.
- Dahlonega, GA
- Gold museum, unusual shops and restaurants.
In Young Harris, at the intersection with the traffic light, turn northerly on Hwy 66 which goes to Warne, NC. At the top of the hill just after the 2-mile marker on the right, you will carefully turn left at Lapidary Lane (you should see our signs). Following the arrows, stay on the paved road, approximately one mile to the lodge. Parking is on the far side. Check In is in the dining room on the lower level.

What to Bring to Class
See confirmation letter for information. You may choose to bring such items as a night light, radio, flashlight, alarm clock, extra towels. Bed and bath linens are provided, with bath linens changed on Wednesday.
Dress
Dress for all activities is very casual - blue jeans and shorts are okay. Closed toed shoes should be worn for safety's sake. The weather in the mountains may be cool so a sweater or light jacket may be wanted. All bedrooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans

Other Information
Young Harris College (two miles) has tennis courts and an indoor pool that is available for your use. Laundromats are four miles from school. Supermarkets are located in Blairsville or Hiawassee. Young Harris has a pharmacy, motel and restaurant.
